UDYAM Registration

Udyam Registration started on July 1, 2020. It replaced the earlier Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) and Entrepreneur Memorandum (EM-II) systems, and is now the sole online process for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to register in India.  

Purpose: To simplify and streamline the process of registering and classifying MSMEs.

Replacement: It replaced the previous Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) and Entrepreneur Memorandum (EM)-II registration systems. 

Process: The registration is a fully online, paperless process based on self-declaration, without the need to upload documents.
